Terms and Conditions
Effective Date: July 25, 2026 | Platform: emp.knoxsecurity.org
1. Acceptance of Terms
By accessing, registering for, or using the Electronic Medical Platform (the "Platform" or "EMP"), operated by NRNathanTechnologies, LLC ("Company," "we," "us," or "our"), you ("User," "you") agree to be bound by these Terms and Conditions ("Terms"). If you are accessing the Platform on behalf of an entity (such as a medical practice, clinic, hospital, or pharmacy), you represent and warrant that you have the authority to bind that entity to these Terms.
If you do not agree to all of these Terms, you are strictly prohibited from accessing or using the Platform.
2. Platform Roles and Permissible Use
Access to the Platform is granted based on specific user roles, each subject to distinct rights and operational responsibilities:
Medical Practitioners ("Doctors")
- Accountability: Doctors are issued unique identifiers (e.g.,
DR-XXXXXX) and are responsible for maintaining the accuracy of their credentials, licenses, and clinic details. - Clinical Authority: Doctors retain sole authorization to issue, sign, and revoke electronic prescriptions and formal medical letters.
- PII Responsibility: Doctors must ensure that all patient information inputted into the system is legally acquired and handled in compliance with applicable healthcare privacy standards.
Secretarial & Administrative Staff ("Secretaries")
- Tied Accounts: Secretarial accounts (formatted as
SEC-XXXXXX-DR-XXXXXX) are linked directly to a verified Doctor and Medical Company. - Permitted Actions: Secretarial users are authorized to register patients, update non-clinical patient notes, schedule appointments, and manage accounting invoices.
- Strict Limitations: Secretaries are strictly prohibited from issuing, generating, or modifying medical prescriptions or clinical medical letters. Any attempt to bypass access controls constitutes a material breach of these Terms.
Pharmacies and Dispensing Entities
- Verification Scope: Pharmacies accessing the public verification portal may do so solely to verify the authenticity of prescriptions via the official Reference Code and the patient’s physical identification document.
- Dispense Audit Logs: Pharmacies must accurately log all partial or total tablet dispenses. Falsifying dispense logs, over-dispensing authorized dosages, or circumventing cryptographic validation is strictly illegal.
Third-Party Verifiers (Employers, Institutions, Legal Entities)
- Document Verification: External entities verifying medical letters, sick leave notices, or clearances may access document verification endpoints solely using the document's unique Reference Number and the patient's verified Identification Number.
- Confidentiality: Verification details are provided strictly for validating document authenticity. Third parties are forbidden from scraping, indexing, or retaining decrypted payloads beyond the necessary verification scope.
3. Account Security & Credential Management
- Credential Safeguarding: You are solely responsible for protecting your login credentials, including temporary passwords issued during account creation or resets.
- Session Termination & Locking: The Platform provides emergency security functions ("Logout From All Devices" and "Lock Account"). Users are required to execute these protocols immediately if unauthorized account access is suspected. Re-activating a locked account requires direct manual identity verification through NRNathanTechnologies support.
- Prohibition of Account Sharing: Credentials are assigned to individual personnel. Sharing accounts between doctors, secretaries, or external parties is strictly prohibited.
4. Data Encryption & Privacy Responsibilities
- Zero-Trust Encryption at Rest: Patient Personally Identifiable Information (PII), medical notes, prescriptions, and letters are protected using cryptographic envelope encryption and database cipher fields.
- Data Ownership: NRNathanTechnologies, LLC acts as a secure software and platform provider and does not claim ownership over patient medical records created by healthcare providers.
- Cryptographic Validation: The integrity of issued prescriptions and letters relies on digital signatures and unique reference hashes. Tampering with or altering digital document payloads invalidates verification records instantly.
5. Service Availability & Disclaimers
"As-Is" Provision: The Platform is provided on an "AS IS" and "AS AVAILABLE" basis. While NRNathanTechnologies, LLC maintains enterprise-grade security infrastructure (including TLSv1.3 encryption and Strict Transport Security), we do not guarantee uninterrupted server uptime or error-free execution.
No Medical Advice: NRNathanTechnologies, LLC is a technology infrastructure provider and does not practice medicine or offer clinical advice. All clinical decisions, diagnosis, and prescribing activities remain the sole professional liability of the licensed medical practitioner.
6. Limitation of Liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, NRNathanTechnologies, LLC, its directors, employees, and agents shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages arising out of your access to or inability to access the Platform. Our total liability for any claims related to platform usage shall not exceed the total fees paid by your associated organization to NRNathanTechnologies, LLC in the twelve (12) months preceding the incident.
7. Intellectual Property
All software code, database architecture, platform interface design, logos, and trademarks (including "EMP - Electronic Medical Platform" and "NRNathanTechnologies, LLC") are the exclusive intellectual property of NRNathanTechnologies, LLC. Users are granted a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable license to access the Platform in accordance with their assigned role.
8. Governing Law & Jurisdiction
These Terms and Conditions shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the State of Delaware, United States, without regard to its conflict of law principles.
